THE WEEPING ONE
by Michael Dennis

They call her La Llorona, the Weeping One.
The lady who harbors sorrow in her soul.
The seer of visions, dreams, and mysteries.
She sees your inner yearnings, your every woe.

The human heart she reads as much she knows.
There is nothing from La Llorona you can conceal.
Although she may show you certain things,
there is much that she will never reveal.

An enigma to herself as well as all who know her.
Countless hours does she roam glens and dales.
The solitude revives her weary spirit.
The wise ancestor spirits give her many tales.

They call her La Llorona, the Weeping One.
If you look deeply into her eyes you will see
that she weeps for all the lonely souls
and will do so until the last day of Eternity.

Long Gone my Blinding Gold.
lambiel fabien

Long gone my blinding gold
Which shone over a few stains.
Melted iron is what remains
Of a consuming heart, a jewel sold.

Long gone my wasted ore,
The last puffs of purple breath expands,
And, as often among us, before it ends,
The heaviest elements shrink to the core.

REAL  UNCERTAINTY
paola castańo

I had lived the world,
with rivers of peace. My  eyes are like coasts
sailing in the streets.

I had live thousand dreams
as golden nights painting Paris.

But, always my heart sings by pain and disillusion,
while, I walk in this land to create miseries.

Real uncertainty comes to my hands like water saying my name,
and promising rings.

I had lived the world.
Mornings smile like tea
and my thoughts awake
with every melody that fly
as a rose perfume in my heart softly.

Dressing For Her Bones
Josh Verbryke

Flesh was merely dressing for her bones!
Privileged hands of vanity threw cruel stones!

Our marble mansion lingered madly with the
fragrant wreckage of her fallen perfume.

I was the unsightly moss born witness to the
sweet blossoming funk of the wild flower.

I was bewildered in an erotic house fire,
observing subtle murders in pageants of "love."

Her pupil dilated with pleasure as
my iris contracted with envy.

The bedroom became a satin brothel &
a frozen stage of casual misery.

Sex became a dark jaded act &
a placebo for the infected.

I learned the science of the dominatrix &
saw the stone face of Morbid Eden.
I saw that flesh was merely
dressing for her bones!

HOUSEHOLD CHORES
Jim Iholts

Old bones, yesterday’s dinner
Swept under the rug, under the table
But, Alas! There is no room in my slovenly kitchen
Guess I’ll have to pile them in that closet
That one over there, go ahead, don’t be afraid, open the door
Put them in that nook at the back of the bottom shelf
There should still be some room back there

Funny thing is, that no matter how much I put in that closet
There is always room for more
Always room for another armload to be taken out to the woodshed
I hear they beat them sometimes, the delivery boys
But not me!  No sir, for mine is the Sin of Complacency,
Allowing that to happen which happens
Doing nothing to prevent its occurrence

Old bones, today’s dinner, swept under the rug
That one, under the table
For there is enough room for today and for tomorrow
And someday, I’ll take out the trash

THE POET, IS A DREAMER
Michaelann C. F. Dahlman

a poet, is said
to be a dreamer,
who dares to live,
          on the edge of reality

not unlike a man,
precariously balanced,
             on a ledge,
             outside a building.

THE LIGHTER SIDE OF DARK MATTER
Joseph Peter Drew 09/10/01

Begin right here on Planet Blue,
The dawn of man and all he knew,
From stone to fire, then bronze and arrow,
Come wheel and ship, the world did narrow,
The voids we filled, a tangible feat,
Electric then steam and combustion compete,
Now turbine, fission, plasma and ion,
Propelling us outward, full circle to Zion,
Our faith and science traversed different roads,
From one seed the branches stretch up through their nodes,
Albert foretold it from his unified limb,
The prophets resound it, it all stems from him!
For all that is seen, the heavens, their light,
Are intangible forces obscure from our sight,
As with love, hope and faith, an invisible force,
It governs our method, our resolve and our course,
The gel of existe'vence cannot be seen,
For God is the Center, the Matter, the Mean,
One day we'll discover through tangible deeds,
What we've already known, through faiths planted seeds.

Sometimes I wish that I were Sam
So I could hear how great I am
If I could be Sam for just a day
Id get to go outside and play
Pop would then throw me a ball
Id run and catch it then he'd call
Me in for a special treat
Like all the ice cream I could eat
Sometimes Id crawl upon his lap
And lie there while we take a nap
He'd feed me goodies from his plate
He'd treat me like hid own soul mate
He'd scratch my head behind my ear
And pat me on my fuzzy rear
At night Id jump upon his bed
And he'd pat my fuzzy little head
And say...
Good Night

Death's A Dream
Angela Guinn

Dragons fire brimstone coals,
Creatures from deep dark holes,
Where am I going,
Where have I been,
Searching for a passage down deep within,
Deep within the Earth crying and pleading,
Does it really hurt?
No it's just your imagination,
or is there an imagination,
Maybe it's the feeling you get that after you have
been there you have to take another's life,
So you are a Soul in another body and you kill them
Or maybe this is Death and we are all Dreaming this same Dream!

On wings of Yesterday
By Matthew Timmons
5/05/02

On wings of yesterday, a voice of remembrance cries.

Since long forgotten the pains of yesteryears.

A memory trailing, withering away, falls silently to its end.

One last glimpse of what was, that will trouble no longer.

On wings of yesterday, a restless heart finds peace.

A CHANCE
BY TAMRA WHEATON

A chance once passed over
Love long ago
Looking for each other
Though neither did know
They thought there was hatred
They thought neither cared
Until one days surprise!
An e-mail they shared
At last, they found each other
The sadness now is gone
For a chance once passed over
Gives a new chance passed on

A World
by Tomas Mcliam
his World not in the air we breath,
nor on the ground they walk
no matter how the heard they bite,
the man still has his thought.

his World is in his mind
his World is in his heart
It resides within the man himself,
And not in others draft.

Use it as you will
He has given you His Hand

His World your platform,
His World your time,
His World a place for you to shine.

i am better off without you

by hollie gomez

you think i need  you but i don't
i got hope
just because you left me doesn't mean a thing
its not the end of the world
there are more people out there
i am really better off without you
i have my pride
it is not like the end of the world
it is not like you were a tidal wave coming over my head
i might have loved that was not lie
but i will not die
because you are not there
i am better off without you
i am a strong woman tall and proud
and there is no one who will put me down
you thought i would cry
you thought i would would waste away
i am better off without you
and that's how it will stay

My Punishment
Paul Sweet

Why must i pray,
Bare my soul,
Hold it out there for all to judge,
Why must i beg for forgiveness,
Be stood up  before a jury and ripped apart,
Peeled away layer by layer,
My skin burnt from my flesh,
My flesh cut from my bones,
And all that they leave me is the lingering anger left behind in  a heart torn from my body,
The same heart made bitter and twisted by the creation of my sins,
Where was my forgiveness!!!
There stood before my judge, jury and executioner,
Waiting for me to repent my life through my dead eyes,
Seeing only the cold darkness of eternity,
And the future I have been sentenced to.

A Night
Irina M

The clouds fell through the sky as the wind howled in confusion
Indeed it was a night of bare delusion
for I, myself was home alone with no glimpse of a creature in sight
and there I was within a room in deep, dreadful moonlight.
to hear the unspeakable moans and cries , I was alone, in my own home
and there I sat still and silent
until a deep clash of thunder shook me dead violent.
I couldn’t hear, I couldn’t see, just a peek of a deep, deep fantasy
and then I was once again, in my own home................ all alone

Maybe  it was when I looked into your eyes.
The eye contact.
Maybe it was the way you would pass next to me so close that I could smell your scent.
Maybe it was the way you moistened your lips befor you said something...
the way you tilted your head slightly and looked off into space when you were thinking...
Daydreaming.
Maybe it was the way you put your arms around my waist and held me tight.
Maybe it was the way you would stare at me right before we kissed.
Maybe it was the way the moon lit your skin to an illustrius glow.
maybe it was the stars.
Maybe it was how people would stop and appreciate the chemstry that we shared.
Maybe it was the way you didn't care who was watching...
who was there.
Maybe it was the way you whispered in my ear.
the way you expressed your love to me the way you wanted me express my love to you.
Maybe it was the way I said your name.
The way you said mine.
Maybe it was the fact that I loved you before I ever met you.
Maybe it is the fact that no mater what you won't let me go.
Why am I so in love?
Maybe because it is you.

forgot all manners of grace
and bleed with each fall

                               Believing
Something we don't see,
Nor hear,
Something that is merely,
An image in our heads,
The voice of others,
Making us believe,
Something maybe,
Only there,
To make answers for the questions,
No proof,
Only belief and faith,
Something we believe.

My eyes are the windows to my soul,
but you haven't noticed how most of that light has gone out.
Here I though you a friend,
to whom I could entrust my dreams.
But shattered you that trust.
My soul you bared to the the world.
Further I drift
into the darkness
ahh the sweet sweet darkness.
Soon it will consume my soul.
My heart now black
no feelings shall I show.
My eyes once full of light and laughter
now just dark orbs in which I see the world.
But alas this once sweet darkness
I can't take anymore.

Living Hell
Alleye Vander Brugghen

Her life was filled with misery and pain
And too much shame
For a little girl to take
Easy for a smile to fake
Too easy of a heart break
They say too little, too late
No love as a child, none as a teen
Life of abuse by a step-dad much too mean
No understanding of happiness
Just a life of chaos
But, oh, her eyes
They shined like no others
When she was away from all this pain
Misery and shame
She is now twenty-one
Her adult like has just begun,
She doesn't want to drink
But, she knows once she does, pain will shink
She falls apart at that first glass
Screams and hollers like an ass
She thinks of her step-dad's suicide
When she was sixteen and how much she had wanted to hide
From the world, then her best guy died
From a drug overdose,
And how much it took her focus
Away from sanity (whatever was left of it)
She asked for a little bit
More to drink
To find her missing link
She said there all night
She tried to fight
Fight, the urge, but, she failed
Finally she passed out
Never to wake up again

SONG OF THE BUTTERFLY
Kathy Trudeau

A Butterfly gently floated by my heart
With wings softly murmuring a soothing call to love
“Come, be with me
In this place, warm and flowing
Join my soul with your face all aglow
Mirroring back the essence of pure magic
For all the world to know
Follow me into the heat and passion of this day
Taste the sweet nectar of life
Place your heart within the petals of a once forgotten love
Reclaim your innocence
Fade with me into the seasons of this day
Gently glide upon the breeze
Catch the music of the Forest
Become all that you perceive
Spread your wings
And glide into the orchestra of the sun
On the breath of eternity”

                         TIME NEVER ENDS
                            Phyllis Matusek

The clock as it ticks, the birth is a second ageing to a minute until it reaches an adult form of an hour.
Like life itself it can go on with care.
As the clock will tick to keep alive, No winding for us, No pushing our time back.
Yes, The clock can stop like human for mortality, But when the clock stops.
Time
   Will
      Go
       On!

FREE AGAIN
SARAH MURAD

I AM A BRIGHT BLUE BIRD IN THE GENTLE SKY
YET I CANNOT FLY WHEN FREEDOM IS MY FOE
BECAUSE MY WING IS BROKEN SO
I HAVE FLOWN MY WHOLE LIFE NEVER NOTICED INDEED
YOU SEE THAT STRUCK MY DIGNITY
I WANT TO FLY WITH ALL MY MIGHT
SET ME FREE TO FLY AGAIN
JUST WITH A SOFT BLOW LIKE THE WIND
AND GENTLE WORD TO SOOTH MY MIND
SWEET AND KIND IS NO ENEMY
IT CAN HEEL MY BROKEN WING YOU SEE
SO DO NOT SHUT SHUT YOUR EYES TO ME AND SEND MY SPIRIT FREE !

~!~

I was just a shell of a man.
Further and further I ran.
Mixed signals from all around.
Ended up shutting out the sound.

Should I go?
Should I stay?
Should I slow?
Should I pray?

It’s all up to me.
If I want to travel the sea.
Can’t I understand?
The cards are in my hand.

Nothing left to fight for.
Other than a religious war.
Neither side is right,
In the world's longest fight.

The Time Has Come
Sargent 5/2002

The time has come
Cast caution to the winds
Pick up the sword and be brave
The MASTERS Words echo loudly
Hide no longer in fears shadows
Take the high ground
Face this evil foe with confidence
Let truth guide your arrows
The enemy gains only the strength you yield
Armies of darkness wield awesome power
Yet none greater than the light you embrace
Though black days are immanent
Righteous prayers bare the fruit of victory
The prince of the earth commands hates force
But Heavenly FATHER is the Author of life and love
Let not apathy and indifference sway thee
They are the darksides most formidable weapons
When riches come to ruin
When nations and families divide
The SON Of MAN is still in control
Put on the armor from helmet to boots
Grasp firmly the shield
Draw the sword the battle is nigh
When fear calls let spiritual faith answer
The time has come

FRIENDSHIP
LEAH AGUINALDO

Having a friend is not impossible
Just learn to be kind, understanding and lovable
It will help you learn things you've never known before
And to give and gain love, trust, and more.

A shoulder to cry,
A friend to sigh,
Someone to share and someone to be there
Whenever I need someone anytime, anywhere.

Sleep deep and beautiful falling around me like a shroud

soft and warm covering my busy day
stars flicker above like a candle feeling a gentle breeze
the moon pale in color holding centuries of mystery
my sheets silky to the touch
my pillow cradling my head
dreams legato
flying through the air like a graceful bird looking down upon the earth
dreams making me laugh and sometimes cry
dreams calling my name
wild imagination beckoning me
dreams adrift with sweet abandon
dreams that dissipate with the rising of the sun

Too Innocent
Cristina L. Pineda

The touch of my own hands remind me of you,
way over my head fantasizing and without a clue.
I wanted to be with you pure and before your eyes naked,
but it would have been like taking an angel from heaven...so precious and sacred.
I imagine you in the darkness of my room at night,
and I wished to have made love to you with all my body's might.
I have an image of you nailed to the walls of my heart,
and the whispers of your voice that with me shall never part.
In my mouth I hold the tasteful essence of your body's flavors,
and the memories of our love locked in my heart's chambers.
I know now that it's best to just let go,
and the shedding of my tears that to you I shall never show.

Eternally Writing
Yvette N. Lessard

When you write with your heart
   And not with your hand,
   Everything comes suddenly
   Without warning.

It's like reading a very good book
And you can't put it down.
You have to know what comes next
   And what will not.

All the stress just wears away
   Silently in the pain of
   Writing too much,
   Even though you can't stop.

   Nothing distracts you
   And nothing stops you.
And you write on and on until
   All the tension is gone.

Tears silently hit the page and
You sit huddled in an imaginary
   Dungeon in your mind.
   Will this writing ever end?

Humans are such pretty things
we live
we stagger on buses
we strive to be more than we are
to meet some ideal that does not make sense
we are driven by hollywood
by aim and ideals that are imposed from outside
that make no sense compared to who, and what we are
we endure when it makes no sense to do so
and give up when there is hope
to hold the knife to our wrist and laugh
to slide it in when it makes no sense
no one knows what it is

Marriage with no gentle words or feelings from the heart
cannot heal the spirit within and fulfillment doesn't start
the little things in life are good, they bring us joy,
help us cope, heal our weary bodies , give love and hope
When hearts are empty we feel so sad and don't no what to do
we call on God Almighty for strength to see us through
When loneliness takes and the world feels cold and dark
its difficult to express the pain were feeling in our hearts
We wonder why peace evades us, how all that love escaped
will this go on forever, and how much can we take
Do we have the strength inside to change our lives again
to find that special someone to take away our pain
It takes a lot of courage after years to say goodbye
to find our eagle wings again ,surely we must try
Everyone needs a soul mate to be there by our side
to live with us and share with us, so our hearts can open wide
Our hearts are heavy when the love has gone, the pain wont go away
every morning is the same just another day.

BECAUSE OF YOU
Brian Perniciaro

I slowly fall away from you
In a sea of drowning love
I gasp for breath and think of you
Watching me from up above

I reach my arms out high to you
But you could never see
Because the sea of love is dark and blue
From all the pain you caused me

The last bit of air escapes my breath
With a few thoughts of you of me
For now I know that death is next
And you will not be here beside me

I only have to look forward to death
For you know not what I do
I will forever cherish this very last breath
And drown myself because of you

When darkness foreshadow
My life is like a battle Behind bars strapped,
but have seen the jail
Struggles to breathe in the pressures deep,
Feeling I won't make it
I open a Bible, "If any man walk in the day he stumbles not,
because he can see the sights of the world,
but if a man walks in the night,
he stumbles because there is no light in him" (John 11:9)
I open my eyes and drop to my knees, and tell the Lord thank you.
I ask him to be my guide, never to forsake me so that I will not perish someday, and to the reader let me start my job today leaving this verse to help change you ways of thinking.
" for god so loved the world he gave his only begotten son,
that whoever believe in him shall not perish but have everlasting life
John 3:16). The lord took my side now there are no more battles, finally blackness doesn't fill my life and I can now see the light.

My life is encompassed by reality.  A reality that is subjective to the internal workings of desire.
A desire that is perpetually circling the heart.  A heart of fire that will burn to a blazing eternity.
An eternity that is engrossed with hope.  Hope that there is something beyond my presence.
A presence that is engulfed with emotion and serenity.
A serenity that is peaceful yet full on insanity.  An insanity that steals from the mind.
A mind that is bombarded with inequality and reserve.  A reserve that is limitless and knows no boundaries.
The boundaries are surrounded by thorns. Thorns made of clover and crimson.  Thorns that build barriers and create instability.
The instability churns inside my body and awakens my mind to the living force inside me.  A force so desirable it is an addiction.
An addiction so powerful that is stimulates the soul and shakes the spirit. A spirit that is uniquely designed and perplexingly mad.
A madness that is subjected to external stimuli that bombards one yet completes thy self.

Falling Forward
Siennadawn

If I jump from this wall I will fall forward into
My death
A visible place that ends
My suffering with a last breath
I have tried to say that I can love myself
But the bruises have caused internal hemorrhaging
Causing my internal destruction
Within these walls I am trapped
Forced inside boundaries
I can only escape by climbing
To the top of them
Forcing my fingernails to scrap up
The pieces of my life
Brushing them onto the dustpan
Discarding them in the trash
Saying goodbye for the last time
I told myself that I would not let you beat me anymore
I am falling
Falling forward

My Angel in Disguise
Lydia E. Torres

In my moment of need,
in my moment of despair
I spoke to my Heavenly Father,
telling him, life wasn't fair.

An angel spoke to me,
not sent from heaven above.
Giving me a message,
a message of true love.

They say that words,
usually come and go
But your words, my angel
have only brought me hope.

My angel is not angelical,
but one in human form.
A gentle, loving, compassionate,
man from here on Earth.

The Devil’s Kiss
Maddy Walker

The devil kissed her gentle lips
She laughed at her sin
She drew her breath and kissed him back
And Satan drew her in.
Afterwards she wept a bit
As she realized what she’d done
But she still could not comprehend
She’d kissed the devil’s son.
When her heart ached to see him
The Prince of Darkness came
He took away her freedom
And never came again.

“The Dancer”
S. C. Reinhardt

Singing roughly, she held her head up high,
As if it were a Blue Jays’ death cry.

Swinging her hips from side to side,
Distracting the men from their lovely wives.

The sweat from her head was dripping,
As if it were the blood soon after a whipping.

Her feet cracked as she moved about on the stage,
Now realizing why she is getting minimum wage.

Her eyes sprint through out the collection of mankind,
Seeing all the eyes gazing is making her lose her mind.

When she glided across the shiny polished stage,
She was a swan without balance and with old age.

As she was spinning in a ballerina twirl,
She was an uncontrollable cyclone with a powerful whirl.

Petals fallen, my tear
drops abye...
It's ok little flower, then
a long deep sigh...
Held softly in the hands of time,
we will pay dearly
for our ungodly crimes..
A seed! screams the agony....
To be born again...
"Lord what have I done?"
"Dear child make no amends."

ANGEL
LEAH AGUINALDO

I love my Angel
She guides me night and day
Whenever I am lost, she helps me find my way
From the moment I was born,
Until this day.
She lights my way 'coz I believe,
Whenever I ask her, I always receive
And I love her 'coz she told me that
God loves me,
God loves you,
God loves everyone,
Like Angels do..

NIGHT FALL
BY FERNANDO LUIS DE LOS REYES

Flashes of light passes me through this dark and windy night
I feel the shiver of trees as a gentle breeze passes by
Uninhibited by sorrow and pain a walk through an endless highway
no one hears my cry, the only thing they here is my silent sighs
Not a day passes by that I don't think of you, you who has become my refuge, you who has covered me with your satin sheets
As I wait and walk this highway I listen for your voice, as i walk every narrowing path I seek you

THAT CITY.
        -Luke Reyes

         Constantly wondering
         If she'll be here tomorrow.
Her heart changes like the wind
I can see it in her eyes
that longing to be else where.
         It hurts.
         She daydreams
         of distant lands and cities
of people more intriguing than myself.
Dancing her way from city to city
         she'd make no connections
         other than a smile.
         It hurts.
To know she's not content with me.
         and with being here.
         But I'd let her go
         for her to be truly
         happy.
         It hurts.
My eyes just don't show it.

I Hold in my Hands
Katie McManus

I hold in my hands the past
The things I've said and done
I hold in my hands the present
My strive to be someone
I hold in my hands the future
Who and what I become.

DEJA VU
dilpreeta

Viewing it from the other side
Turn to step across the forbidden line
Appreciate the mind there

You read a book  so enchanting it was,
Sat down to re-read
But it was a brand new way to traverse

The showers of monsoon
The drops bringing respite
Are never the same

The deception of an avalanche
Ruining what it has
For mere visionary beauty

Tread with care for you are somehow aware

Winds are charming poets they have a lot to tell
They also caution you
It is your reading

Someone farted

I am about to faint
Guess who did it
my teacher, my teacher
it stinks so bad
i think im going to hurl
i want to go home
im choking
on the way home
i am going to need alot
of therapy after what happened

School is terrible

yes I know, Yes i know
Teachers are terrible
Yes they are, Yes they are
I want to go home, yes I do
