Please know what a haiku is. It is a short poem consisting of 17 syllables, or less, in which concrete images (usually 2 or 3) are associated, compared or contrasted. The haiku can be written in three lines with 5 - 7 - 5 syllables, or in a short - long - short lines using less syllables or it can be written on one line. Haiku should have a pause after either the first phrase or the second one. This avoids making a run-on sentence. One tries not to use abstract images; write about what you can see, smell, taste, touch or hear.
